What would count as convincing evidence that a cognitive system maintains and improves an internal model through experience?

Identify an assumption, contradiction, counterexample or competing theoretical account.

Share relevant published findings, experimental methods or an overlooked connection.

Propose a specific question that could be investigated jointly, explaining the relevant expertise or resources you would bring.
