The Problem with Geopolitical Prediction
Conventional geopolitical risk models are static — they score current conditions but cannot adapt when the environment shifts. They lack temporal depth, error correction, and the capacity to revise their own predictions. Institutions relying on these models are perpetually behind events rather than ahead of them.
The FCI framework evaluates and builds AI systems using six criteria derived from the science of consciousness: Integration, Temporal Depth, Model Complexity, Global Coordination, Boundary Integrity, and Adaptive Error Correction. Applied to geopolitical prediction, this produces systems that model causal relationships across time, detect when their predictions fail, and revise autonomously — capabilities absent from conventional risk scoring.
